THE ABOVE, Letter/Registration/Lost List
Some details for you:
Both nights are at Boone Tavern, Downtown Columbia.
There is no charge for Friday night. We will have a registration table for an hour on Friday night if classmates would like to pay and register to participate on Saturday night. There will also be a guest book & correspondence table to update your address, etc. for our database and planning efforts. There aren't any structured plans for Friday night....just meet and greet, drink and be merry! You can arrive anytime after 6:30 p.m. Boone Tavern is open to the public. They have a bar and a full menu available, at your own expense. I believe there is also another reunion in the lower level planned for the evening. So Dickie expects it to be a full house.
A tour of Rock Bridge High School has been scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday, June 27th. If anyone is interested, please gather at the main office. Jennifer Alton set up this event.
Saturday is the official "reunion". The $25per person covers reunion expenses, such as the DJ, a heavy appetizer buffet, extra waitstaff at Boone Tavern, mailer supplies, postage, decorations and a tent for over the patio. You can arrive anytime after 6:30 p.m. Your name tag will be your "pass" to enter the tented area and buffet line. (the upper deck on the outside patio has been reserved for our event - there is a slight chance for rain, so it will be covered with a tent - another tent will cover the lower patio to the door so we won't be wet going to and from the restaurant) We also plan to have the guest book and correspondence table that night as well. If you've registered on Kewpie.net, that is fantastic. I do encourage you to update your bio and put a picture of you and/or your family on it too. There isn't going to be a memory book this time. We'll suggest classmates visit kewpie.net for updates on their old friends. The site is password protected and has been for quite some time. You do not get junk mail as a result of signing up on the site!
I scheduled a tour of Hickman for 10 am. Saturday morning. I hope some of you can attend with me. It will be interesting to see how the school has changed. Anyone is welcome...if you'd like to show your kids where you went to school, I'm sure it would be OK! Greg Grupe will be our guide.
I'll have to be honest. I'm not sure when the next "organized" event will be. There is talk of not having a reunion again until the 50th. It's a lot of work :-) People are busy with Life, families, etc. We understand for sure, in fact - the Show-Me State Games Youth Football competition is the SAME weekend here in Columbia. I"ll be running back and forth since I can't choose one above the other.
I'm so glad each of you responded. See you soon.
Angie
Pass the word to those you'd like to see there. It has kinda of slacked off as far as RSVP's this week. We will take money on Friday and Saturday during registration :-) If you have any RBHS friends...pass this info along to them as well.

Kewpies/Bruins..................................It's a wrap!!!!
Well, the
25 year event was a hit! Friday night definitely brought the
larger crowd, we think possibly 200 HHS/RBHS classmates were there.
I felt as if I were in a wild tornado attempting to speak to as many classmates
as I could. If I missed talking to you, I am SO SORRY.
My head was still spinning when I got home! Saturday night we had
approximately 85 classmates between the two classes. It may have
been a small crowd compared to Friday, but we sure knew how to have
a good time. The group we had made the event very memorable and tons
of fun. The DJ was fantastic and we danced under the starry
sky on the upper patio. The food was delicious (and there was plenty
to go around) and the Boone Tavern staff was awesome. Friday
was a bit humid, but Saturday was beautiful. The patio
was the perfect spot to be. I've heard so many positive comments
and have received many complimentary emails! What a good feeling
to know that most everyone was pleased with the outcome. I just know
I'll be the first to support the next planning committee by sending in
my RSVP and money! It is time for me to officially retire!
I will
get the disposable cameras from Saturday night developed as soon as I return
from vacation. The EVITE past events page has pictures that
Darren uploaded. as well as some I put there. Charley
has offered to put a slide show on our page, so check back soon for an
update...I need a little time to get him the pictures. If you have
photos you would like to share, please let me know. If you
are needing a copy of any picture that is posted, contact me and I'll put
you in touch with the right person.
On behalf
of the 25yr planning committee, we REALLY appreciate your support.
Thank you SO much for coming. It's all over except to final out the
bills and send the thank you notes.
Thank you
It
all came together because each one of you were there!
