What is your origin; why, when and how did you wound up in Columbia and where did you come from if you were not born in Columbia?
I was born in Columbia and lived mostly on the rural south side.

What did you do immediately after you left high school in 1963 and where did you go if you left Columbia?
I went to MU for two semesters where I met Jim Moore. We were married in Aug 1964, I dropped out of college to get a job so he could continue.

Where did you get your education (other than HHS) and what is your profession or how did you acquire your occupation and what was or is it?
After three children, I went back to MU part time for many semesters finally getting my degree in education in 1982. Jim got a job in Indianapolis so later that year we moved. I didn’t get much of a chance to use my education degree but did take a temporary job at an insurance company in the accounting department. That led to accounting classes at Butler University and eventually an accounting job with DowBrands and Dow AgroSciences.

Are you still working and if so what are you doing?
No

Are you retired and what are you doing or what have you done since you retired? How long have you been retired?
After 20 years with Dow Chemical, I retired in 2011. With two of our children married and living in Missouri, as well as both of our mothers still living in Columbia, we spend a lot of time in Missouri.

Are you married? Who are you married to? Who are you divorced from? How did you meet your spouse or partner; where and when? How long have you been married? Or how many times have you been married and/or divorced?
I have been married to Jim since 1964.

We have three children all born in Columbia from 1966 to 1970 and graduated from Pike High School in Indianapolis. We have five grandchildren – the oldest grandson is a senior in St Louis and planning to attend MU next year. The youngest is our only granddaughter and is a beautiful dancer in the 6th grade at Gentry Middle School. The three grandsons in the middle are a lacrosse player, cross country runner and one that tries about everything .

What countries have you spent time in other than on business? What countries have you lived in outside the US?
We have vacationed in Hawaii, Mexico, Jamaica, Bahamas and Israel.

What's on your 'Bucket List' and what have you done and haven't done so far?
We both have always wanted to walk the Appalachian Trail from end to end.

Are you a veteran and if so where and when did you serve our country?
No

What is the best memory you have from Hickman High School? What is your worst memory from HHS?
Best - Becoming part of National Honor Society. Worst - The typical teenage angst.

What was your favorite place to go after school or on weekends in Columbia when attending Hickman?
I rode the school bus and didn’t have a car until my senior year. I mainly went to a friend’s house. Kemper twins, Janet Keene, Sandra Smith.

What was your biggest accomplishment while at Hickman High School and what has been your biggest accomplishment since you graduated from Hickman until now?
I don’t remember any great accomplishment at Hickman other than graduating. Since high school , I’ve married, had three children that have also graduated from college and provided us with grandchildren. Soon after Hickman, I found there is a larger plan for my life and became a Christian. I met Jim and together we have been to central Mexico and the mountain areas of Jamaica and Costa Rica working with locals to build or repair small churches or working in very poor communities providing food and medical services. Our most recent trip was a second trip to Israel, this time as part of a medical mission to the Palestinian areas.

What do you think classmates will remember the most about you when they see you at the 50th reunion?
I doubt anyone would remember me. I was one of those non-descript kids, didn’t get into trouble and didn’t excel at something to be noticed.

Did any teacher from Hickman High School have an effect on your life and how?
I can’t remember any
