Connie Warren Crum (2003-07-27)

Presently-Pastor of Carriers of the Kingdom Tabernacle, a non- Denominational Church founded by me on April 6, 2003 at 11 E. Worley Street, Columbia, Mo. It is the mission of the church to win people to Jesus Christ and commit them active to grow in grace in the knowledge of Christ that they may increasingly do his will. To work for the unity of all and engage in the building of the kingdom.

Presently-Attending Grace Bible College & Seminary studying for my Doctoral Degree.

Nov. 14, 2003-Received my Bachelors Degree in Bible Study. Jan. 2, 2001 -Ordaination from Grace.

11/99-4/99-Associate Pastor for All Peoples Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Canton.

4/99-1 1/99-Performed duties as Interm Pastor for All Peoples Church until they hired a regular pastor. During which time I performed all the duties of pastor.

Presently-8/3/96 Established a chapter in Columbia of Free Women In Christ working under the auspices of Free Women In Christ, Inc. From our group I taught the Bible and we developed the following ministries: Food Distribution, nursing home services, jail visitation ministry, and supported all local churches. We were a group of interdenominational servants in the community.
 

3/94 Married George Lee Crum, a city employee from Columbia who worked for the city 39 years.

2/73-4/93 Employed by the United States Postal Service working in St
Joseph, Mi., Columbia, Mo. And retiring from St Louis Post Office as an
Expeditor. Over the years I’ve worked as a carrier, clerk, supervisoe, LSM
operator, LSM trainer, BCS-OCR operator, and teacher.

8/63-5/65 Attended Mississippi Valley State Universiry at Itta Bena, Mississippi. Special accomplishments while in college, student body secretary my freshmen year, member of homecoming queens court, student advisory board, marched in Rose Bowl Parade {2 years} and marched in Indianapolis 500 {2 years), also attended college on a 2 year frill music scholarship.

9/60-5/63 Graduated from David Hickmon High School, Columbia, Mo. Accomplishments enclude Member of Modem Music Masters of America, band, chior, speech chior, and I participated in school plays.

9/51-5/60 Attended Fred Douglass Elementary School.
 

Personal Information
 

Born February 20, 1945 in Columbia, Missouri to Leonidas R. Warren and
M. Corinne Williams Warren. The oldest of seven children. Lived on
Street and then 3001 S Warren Drive off New Haven Road while growing
up.

The proud mother of three

Joan Hix- financial counselor at Boone Hospital, and the mother of my only granddaughter Diana.

Janice Patterson- factory worker at Columbia Foods.

My only son Jonas Patterson V. Air Force Recruiter here in Columbia. I have a lovely daughter in law Shannekia and a 5 year old grandson Jonas Patterson VI.

My hobbies: Entering contest, writing, music,and teaching the Bible.
My disabilities or limitations: Asma, walk with cane, heart disease, diabetes until God heals me. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

I am interested in promoting the fellowship of Christ in my community by doing all I can do. I believe that prayer changes things! All my ministries have been based on the foundation of prayer.
 
 

Religious Life:

My first 21 years of training begain at Log Providence Baptist Church, Columbia, Missouri. I worked as a youth for the district Baptist Convention as Youth President, Vice President, Secretary, and Song Leader over those 21 years.

The 20 years following that in Michigan Baptist Churches I served as Sunday School Teacher and as music director for three chiors

The 8 years in St Louis I served as Secretary at Dove Church of God In Church Received calling while there. Last 9 years working in ministry in Columbia. First at Mount Celestial Baptist Church, then All Peoples Missionary Baptist Church and now as Pastor of Carriers of the Kingdom Tabernacle.

The Rev. Dr. Connie Y. Crum, 63, of Columbia died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Boone Hospital Center.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 23, at Progressive Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Anderson officiating. Visitation will be 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Warren Funeral Chapel.

The Rev. Crum was born Feb. 20, 1945, in Columbia, the daughter of Leon Dias Warren and Margaret Corrine Warren. She was married on April 19, 1994, to George Lee Crum of Columbia.

She was a member of Amos Johnson Chapter No. 30, O.E.S. She was the founder and president of Free Women in Christ and also was the pastor of Carriers of The Kingdom of Christ.

Survivors include her husband; son Jonas P. Patterson V of Riverside, Calif.; daughters Joan M. Dortch and husband Grady and Janice Y. Patterson, all of Columbia,; stepson Michael Garmon of Springfield; two brothers, Gary Warren and wife Billie of Austin, Texas, and Barry Warren of Long Beach, Calif.; and three sisters, Janice Patterson and husband Don of Tyrone, Ga., and Paula Sanders and husband Bishop Lemme of Marion, Ind., and Kathleen Lodemann and husband Jim. Also surviving are four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, grandparents, one brother and one sister.
