Martha Freese Keller - 2003-10-03
After leaving Hickman High in Grade 10, graduated from North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Returned to Columbia to attend Stephens College and graduated in 1965.  Attended American University in Washington D.C. before returning to complete a B.A. in Art History at the University of Missouri.  Subsequently lived in India for a year teaching English, before beginning a post-graduate degree in Psychology at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.  Completed M.A. in 1973 and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1977.  Worked in a number of hospitals, institutions, schools, clinics, and private practice over the next 30 years.  Currently employed as a Child Clinical Psychologist at the Queen Alexandra Centre for Children, working on a unit for children with psychiatric disorders.  Married to Brian Hume, with two children.  Justin (aged 20) is completing his fourth year of a B.Sc. in Economics at the University of Victoria, and serves in the Canadian Army Reserves.  Elsa (aged 18) is in her first year at the University of Portland on a soccer scholarship, playing for the Portland Pilots.  In her spare time, Martha enjoys growing organic veggies and sewing gifts for friends and family.  With the kids leaving home, Brian and Martha were missing family mealtimes, so now they feed 30 street kids every Friday night at Victoria’s “Out of the Rain” Night Shelter.
