THE
CHARLEY BLACKMORE CLASS OF 1963 SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarships will be awarded to students on the basis of outstanding service to Hickman High School and or the community. The scholarship can be used to offset costs of a Technical School, junior College or Four Year College of the student’s choice. Faculty selection of the recipient will be based on “Outstanding Service”. Need should be a consideration of the award but shall not be the sole determining factor. Recipient should be someone “Who understands what it is to be a Kewpie and someone who has been an “example of the Kewpie Spirit”. The webpage is @ http://www.kewpie.net/cbcscholarship/cbc63scholarship.html. It will contain the names of all those making donations and a running total of the scholarship. Also if you would like to make your donation in memory of an individual, that too will be on the webpage. Checks should be written to “Hickman High School” so your donation will be tax deductible. In the note portion or lower left corner of the check notate the “CBC ’63 Scholarship” and the name of the individual, if you choose to make your donation as a memorial. Please mail checks to Charley for proper records keeping and posting to the webpage. Hickman will provide a photo and bio of the student(s) selected for the scholarship to Charley and he will post the recipient on the Kewpie web site. Our goal is to establish a “fund”
that will generate an annual award minimum of two $500.00 scholarships
with the restriction on the “fund” that the total amount awarded in any
one year shall not exceed 10% of the principal balance of the fund.
One female and one male student shall be chosen annually assuming funding
is available to make the awards.
