Memorial services for Linda Jane Akers, 58, of Louisiana, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Randall Cone officiated. Mrs. Akers died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004 at her home in Louisiana. She had donated her body to the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
She was born Oct. 9, 1945 in Louisiana, to Clyde and Ethel Bolomey Hostetter.
She is survived by two sons, Jim Akers and wife Kelly of Louisiana, and Jason Akers and wife Robyn of Bowling Green; one daughter, Jamie Spegal and husband Rick of Bowling Green; her father, Clyde Hostetter of Louisiana; eight grandchildren, C.R. Akers of Louisiana, Grant, Blake and Camille Akers, all of Bowling Green, Ethan and Dylan Crowder of Bowling Green, and Heather and Cody Spegal of Bowling Green; one sister, Sally Brazier and hus¬band Allan Hunt of Louisiana; one niece, Courtney Hunt; and one nephew, Brandon Brazier and Kristina Rosenburg of Bowling Green.
She attended the Louisiana High School. She had been employed at the Women's Eastern Regional Diagnostic Correctional Center as a Corrections Officer for the past three years and had retired due to ill health.
Memorials may be given to the
Home Care and Hospice Foundation of Pike County Missouri in care the funeral
home.

HANNIBAL - Gloyd Guy Holman, 59, of Hannibal, died at 10:05 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at Grand View Funeral Chapel in, Harquba1„; The Rev., Tim Goodman will officiate: Burial will be at a later date a, Fairview Cemetery in Frankford.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Holman was born Dec. 4, 1945, in Frankford to Harry D. and Vlorence East Holman.
Survivors include a brother, Jimmie D. Holman of Springfield, Ill.; three sisters,' Joan Rouse of Hannibal, Carolyn Sanderson of Louisiana, and Sandra Klene of Topeka, Kan.; a special friend, Marsha Payne of Hannibal; four nephews, Art Stoddard of Largo, Fla., Randy Stollard of Republic, Jeffrey Stollard of Dallas, Texas, and John D. Klene of Hollywood, Fla.; six nieces, Karen Applebaum of Springfield, Ill., Judy Ingram of Pleasant Plains, Ill., Denise Knoll of Bloomington, Ill., Starla Ludsky of Knoxville, Tenn., Robin Cormier of Hannibal and Laura Klene Adams of Topeka, Kan.; and 12 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mr. Holman attended schools in Frankford, Liberty and Louisiana. He joined the U.S. Air Force during his senior year of high school and spent seven years in the service. Part of that time was spent in Vietnam. He was a house painter and worked as an auto parts salesman.
The family wishes that memorials
be sent to a local hospice or to the donor's choice.

Gary L. Roan of West Frankfort, Illinois passed away on April 8, 2007.
Gary Roan was born on December 29, 1945, in Louisiana, Missouri to Henry Roan and Wilma (Smashey) Roan; he married Debra (Ozment) Roan on July 24, 1982.
Gary Roan spent his youth in Missouri, moving to Southern Illinois in 1967; he served an apprenticeship as a wireman with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 702, becoming a journeyman wireman on October 4, 1973 and worked for various area contractors; in 1975, Gary became business representative for IBEW Local 702; he was business manager of IBEW Local 702 from 1994 until his retirement in July of 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Debra
Roan; his sons, James Scott Roan and wife, Jennifer, and Hank Roan; his
daughter, Alisha Newton and husband, Josh; his grandsons, Robert Tyler
Roan and Tanner Roan; his granddaughters, Rachel and Katie Roan; his great-granddaughter,
Riley Roan; his brothers, Richard Roan and wife, Patricia, and Clayton
Roan and wife, Terri; his mother-in-law, Peggy Stephens; his brother-in-law,
the Rev. Alan Ozment and wife, Melody; his several nieces and nephews;
and his special cousin, Billy Burbridge and wife, Lanora; he was preceded
in death by his parents, and a son, Stanley F. Roan.
Kirk
Wilson Klemme
July 8, 1945 - June 15, 2007
Kirk Wilson Klemme of Kansas City, Mo., passed away on June 15, 2007, at the Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Mo., as a result of an accident at home.
Kirk was preceded in death by his parents, Haskell and Sue Klemme of Louisiana, Mo. He is survived by his devoted wife of 22 years, Barbara; two children, Karen McDonald and her husband Chris and their son Killian of Houston, Texas, and Kevin and his wife Karla and their daughters Maya and Ava of Liberty, Mo.; and his brother, Roger Klemme, of Louisiana, Mo. In addition to his family, he leaves behind numerous friends and acquaintances whose lives were enriched by his unconditional friendship.
Kirk was born on July 8, 1945, in Ft. Myers, Fla., to Sue and Haskell Klemme. The family lived in various communities throughout the United States and Canada before settling in Louisiana, Mo. He attended Louisiana High School, where he graduated with honors in 1963. After high school, he attended Stanford University of Stanford, Calif., where he received a bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering (Mechanical Engineering and Product Design).
Kirk spent his career in packaging research and development. He was employed by Boise Cascade, Composite Can Division in St. Louis, Mo., from 1970 to 1987. The family relocated to Liberty, Mo., in 1988, when he became the Director of the Packaging Technology Center for Sealright Co. He retired in 1999.
Our wonderful husband and father spent his retirement years doing the things he loved- woodworking, photography and traveling. He especially enjoyed spending time with his beautiful granddaughters.
