Became a registered architect. Joined an established architectural firm
in Denver that provided corporate, government and institutional architectural
services. I became a stockholder, an officer and eventually owned the firm.
2003
In February of this year I sold the firm. I will be doing some consulting
work related to the sale of the firm. I plan to continue and increase my
activity related to my avocations of drawing, painting and photography.
I also plan to continue to travel, read, participate more in sports and
outdoor activities (sking, tennis, golf, hiking, camping, biking, etc.)
and get involved in some meaningful volunteer work.
2003
In April of this year the retina in my left eye became detached. After
the operation to repair this problem a blood vessel in this eye ruptured
which caused a series of additional problems that led to additional treatment
and another operation. After five months since the detachment I still have
substantial vision problems in this eye. I am currently working with three
ophthalmologists to hopefully regain most of my vision in this eye. I am
told that the eye is still in the healing process and consequently I am
seeing the doctors often and will probably have to have another operation
before this eye problem is resolved. I am told this process may take another
two to three months. Because of this ongoing healing and medical process
I will not be able to attend the reunion. I hope it will be a successful
reunion and hopefully I will be able to attend the next reunion and/or
see some of you individually once I have recovered from this eye problem.
2008
I
am checking out the pictures from the 40th reunion on Charley's iPhone
when he and Jerry Robinson stopped by my place in Louisiana while they
were in town, April 5, 2008 for the LHS Alumni & Friends Association
meeting. Charely & Jerry had lunch with Karl Dewey, his wife (Tina)
and his daughter (Katie) before they stopped to seeing if I was in town.
