Carol Featherston, 70, beloved wife and mother, of
Paragould, Arkansas, formerly of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away on
January 25, 2017, at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould,
Arkansas.
She was born on December 18, 1946, in Piggott,
Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Branson "Speck" and
Virginia Lee (Tanner) Davis.
She was united in marriage to
James Featherston on October 27, 1961, and to this union two
children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
and her two brothers: Elton and Edmond.
She was a member of
Grace United General Baptist Church in Paragould, Arkansas. Carol
loved the Lord and spending time with her husband, James O, her
children and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her
husband, James Featherston of Paragould, Arkansas, son, James
Featherston Jr., and wife Christina of Midland, Michigan; daughter,
Cindy Yager and husband Brent of Grand Blanc, Michigan,
grandchildren: Bethany Jewell and husband Eric, Amanda Nielsen,
Jenna Yager, Taylor Yager, Joslyn Featherston, Corey Featherston,
Jimmy Featherston, and Emilee Featherston; great-grandchildren:
Easton and Thomas Karl; sister, Erma Campbell of Hot Springs
Village, Arkansas, Larry Davis and wife Sandra of Paragould,
Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral
services will be held Friday, January 27, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. in the
Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Josh Carpenter and Jack Cole officiating.
Burial is in Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers are Eric Jewell, Brent
Yager, James Featherston, Kirby Johnson, Larry Davis, and Kenny
Jones. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in
charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Friday from 1:00 p.m.
until service time at 3:00 p.m.
