Garland Mayo
Garland Mayo, 59 of Piggott died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, in The Piggott Community Hospital.

He was born January 16, 1945, in Piggott, the son of the late Ivory C.and Ethel L.Brandon Mayo.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Madolyn Turner and Betty Mayo.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Mayo, of Piggott; two daughters, Sherrie Wofford and husband Dale of Paragould, Shelly Samples and husband Bryan, of Piggott, five grandchildren; Brandon, Wofford, Sebastian Wofford, Blade Wofford, Hunter Samples and Hayden Samples; one sister Wilma Dale and husband, James of Piggott; one brother-in-law Dallas Fry and wife, Sharon of Campbell; one sister-in-law, Linda Barnwell and husband, Joe of St Clair; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 10 A.M. Friday, July 16, 2004 in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Richard Akins officiating. Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway. Mayo's grandsons served as pallbearers.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
