Patsy Kay Ross Scogin
August 26, 1946 - December 11, 2022
Piggott, Arkansas

Patsy Kay Scogin, an exceptional woman and beautiful soul entered into rest on December 11, 2022 at her home in Piggott. Born on August 26, 1946, in Greenway, AR, she was the daughter of Robert and Mary Vena (Barnes) Ross. She started school in Greenway then later moved to Piggott where she graduated from High School.

She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on January 30, 1963. Patsy had many admirers, she was so beautiful, optimistic and lighthearted. She never met a stranger, always happy, trusting and so creative.
She was a devout and faithful Jehovah’s Witness. Patsy had a light she exuded turning a stranger into a friend wherever she went whether it was at the store or during her hospital visits. She enjoyed coffee, flowers, gardening, music and dancing, but most of all she loved her animals.

Patsy has now joined her best friend and husband of over 46 years David Ray Scogin. She would grin and tell of when they first met he picked her up in his Barracuda. He was such a gentleman opening the door for her every single time. It wasn’t till later she learned the door wouldn’t actually open from the inside, the handle was broken. They fell in love and married in 1973. Anyone who was blessed to know these two knew they adored each other. They laughed and truly enjoyed life together with all their animals at the Leanin Tree Ranch.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Ray Scogin and her parents Robert L and Mary Vena (Barnes) Ross and brother RL Ross.

Patsy is survived by her brother Gerald Ross of Piggott, Arkansas; her sister Sue Latimer of Doniphan, Missouri; her beloved animals, one dog Rowdy and five cats Callie, Smokey, Chester the three legged cat, Grayson and Dreamer along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial Service will be at 5 pm on Sunday December 18, 2022 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 1415 US 49 in Paragould.
