Susan Jenn, Class of 2013

Kewpie of the Month

September 2012

I was born in St. Peters, Missouri on September 12, 1994, but I mostly grew up in Illinois. I spent three or four summers in Columbia before I moved here the summer before my sophomore year. I live with my sister, my brother-in-law, and my nephew who is almost two.

Being a part of the school community is important to me. I’ve been an active member of Hickman journalism as Editor-in-Chief of the yearbook and Print Editor of the newspaper. I’m president of National Art Honors Society, and I started the Make-Up Club that is involved in restoring the display cases around the school to showcase our history.

I love being a part of such a diverse and busy school that’s been around for so many years. Learning about past traditions and the people who went there changed the way I look at Hickman and made me more passionate about preserving this history. I’m definitely proud to be a Kewpie!

Read Susan's "Homecoming Queen Story" in the Purple & Gold

I haven't met Susan yet but you can tell that Susan is a busy Hickman Kewpie Senior! Susan contacted me to help her with a story for the "Purple & Gold" about 'Homecoming Queens' of past decades. That story will be available on www.kewpie.net soon!
