Update - Pictures & Bio for 50th Reunion

Bud Lewis - 2003-09-17

After graduating HHS, I went on toMizzou.  I married Sherry Faucett, my first wife my sophomore year, thanks to Caryl Wood who had played cupid to set up our first date.  Sherry and I have two wonderful kids Blaine and Laura.  Both kids have carried on the Lewis tradition of large families.  Blaine and Tisha gave us four fine grandchildren and Laura and her husband Bernard have three gorgeous girls.  After graduating Mizzou we moved to Oklahoma City where I went to work for S.W. Bell Yellow Pages.

Thirty years and a new wife later I retired in Tulsa, Oklahoma. my poor wife Peggy, known to all our friends as Miss Peggy, put up with my retirement for about four years.  Then last November, total boredom set in.  I had hunted, fished, golfed, and played duplicate-bridge all I could stand.  So back to work I went.  Advertising is in my blood.  I now sell and write radio commercials for Journal Broadcast Group in Tulsa.  It’s a real kick!

Some of my finest memories are from my High School and college days.  I think we “baby boomers” grew up in the greatest time in this country.  We are truly blessed.  This I believe is my second or third reunion.  Peggy and I are looking forward to seeing each and every one of you.

After graduating HHS in 63 I went on to get a bachelors degree in Music Education from MIZZOU assuming I was going to be a High School vocal music teacher. My junior year at the Zou I married Sherry Fausett from Oklahoma City who was attending Christian College. Sherry was a blind date set up by Caryl Wood. Thomas "Blaine" Lewis arrived shortly thereafter as it was all Caryl's fault.

While attending MIZZOU I sang with a folk group called "The Deliah's". We sang at several MIZZOU Homecomings, sororities, and opened for the likes of Peter,Paul,& Mary,Bob Dillon and others at Gaslight Square in St. Louis. I also sang with The Univerity Of Missouri Singers. We represented the state of Missouri at the Worlds Fair in New York in 64.

Sherry and I moved to Oklahoma City in 68 where I took a job in sales with Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages. Through the years I held several management positions and retired in 1999. After fours years of retirement in November 2002 I got bored and began work for Journal Broadcast Group who owned three radio stations KVOO, KFAQ, and KXBL. I wrote and produced radio commercials for the next eight years. During my marriage to Sherry we also brought Laura "Rae" Lewis into the world in 1969. Sherry and I divorced in 1981.

In 1985 I married Peggy Ray Bell from Houston,Tx. We have been together ever since and in March of 2013 will celebrate our 28th Wedding Anniversary.

Laura and Blaine have given us eight fantastic grand children. Half of our kids reside in West Des Moines, Iowa and the other half in Dallas,Texas.

My hobbies still include hunting, fishing , golf, duplicate bridge, and gardening. Our newest children are Sophie,Chocolate Lab, and two German Shorthairs Savannah and Sadie. If you don't like dogs don't come to visit.

I wish to thank Charlie for keeping the Kewpie torch burning all these
50 years.
