After receiving a BS in Nursing from MU I served three years in the Navy Nurse Corp. I was stationed in Newport, Rhode Island and Jacksonville, Florida. While at Jacksonville I met my Husband, Norman a Navy doctor, when he returned from his tour with the Marines in Vietnam. Norman and I have been blessed with three wonderful children, a son-in-law, and granddaughter. Our son, Norm, has just graduated from KU law school. Our daughter, Ruth is married and lives in Windermere, Florida, with husband Paul and baby Grace. She is also a part time ER nurse. Ann, our youngest, is a veterinarian doing three years of equine medicine residency at Colorado State Vet School. After leaving the Navy we lived a year in Mamou, Louisiana, while Norman practiced general medicine. We then moved to Denver for two years where Norman finished his residency in Internal Medicine. After Denver we returned to Louisiana and have lived here in Lake Charles since. I returned to nursing when the children started college and continue to work part time at one of the local hospitals, in their marketing and health-screening department. Over the years I’ve returned frequently to Columbia to visit my parents and family, but have seen very few of our classmates. I know I will miss a fun, great, time, So I will be waiting to hear the news and see all the pictures. Thank you, Charlie, for all your work. Wish you all the very best,
