Jenny Cox - 2003-08-15
I married and left Columbia in 1965. During the
next 15 years I had 2 children, finished college and divorced. I moved
back to Columbia and worked for 28 years as a media specialist in
various Columbia Public Schools. Eleven of those years were at HHS. It
was really nice to come back to Columbia. It was an excellent place to
raise my kids. The smaller town environment gave them the opportunity to
experience opportunities for independence as teens, much like we were
able to as we grew up. I retired in 2008. I now spend time with my
children and their families, which includes 2 grandchildren. I teach
online professional development courses for teachers on a very part-time
basis. I am also assisting my son with the computer software he uses in
his new business.
