Having been born in California
(the fruit and nut state) then brought to Missouri (the show me state)
my life has been a real mix up.
After school, I married Eddie
“Joe” Pennbaker in May of 1964 while he was in the Army. We have
lived in Virginia, Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky and Arkansas. I have
three children with five grandchildren. Cherilyn with three children
in Kentucky; Ted, not married in state of Washington and Paul with two
children in Arkansas.
I have had various jobs.
I have worked in hospitals; done office work in a pottery factory, insurance
agency and a radio station; worked for Kimberly-Clark and also Champs warehouse.
Then Joe and I drove team hauling produce cross country for 12 years.
For the last seven years I have been in the accounting room in Kroger.
Since Joe passed away, I keep
active with grandchildren church and work.

McLeod Pennebaker, 63 of Conway went home to her Lord on Monday, April 6, 2009.
She was born Sept. 17, 1945, to the late Ellen Virginia McLeod.
Pennebaker was a member of the
Church Alive in Conway. Her family could not ask for a better mother and
grandmother. They feel a fitting description would be a Proverbs 31 woman. She
was always available to lend a helping hand.
She is survived by her sons
Ted Pennebaker of Custer, Wash., and Paul Pennebaker of Grady: daughter,
Cherilyn Rockaway and her husband John of Lexington: five grandchildren, Chris
Pennebaker of Center Ridge, Kayla Jo Pennebaker of Morrilton, John IV, Paul and
Olivia Rockaway of Lexington, Ky.; and many family and friends.
In addition to her mother, she
was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Eddie Joe Pennebaker.
Services will be held at 10
a.m. Friday at Church Alive with Bro. Randy Long and Doyle Glass officiating.
Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park with Pete Beck, Anthony Terri,
Ricky Clements, Jordan Culter, Sammy Heath, Jim Glass, Alvin Reeves and Travis
Sims serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at
Bishop-Griffin Funeral Home of Greenbrier.
