Text Box:      CENTRAL         DISTRICT FALL    MEETING SEPT 25

Text Box:  The Central District Fall meeting and luncheon will be Tuesday, September 25,2007, hosted by the Arrowhead Garden Club. Registration begins at 9a.m.The afternoon program is “The Future is Now”-Horticulture Education. The meeting is at Harper Chapel United Methodist Church, 5567 Hwy 54(next door to city hall) Osage Beach. The cost is $10.00. Please bring your check, made to the Columbia Garden Club, to Cindy Deegan at the entry table, or  mail it to her  at 2000 Parkade Blvd., Columbia, 65202. The deadline is September 13.  Do not mail your luncheon check to Alice as she will be in Hawaii and your check will not get to Cindy by the deadline!

Text Box: It is time once again to prepare one of your best dishes and join the Columbia Garden Club as we begin again following a lovely summer hiatus.  We will meet  September 10 at 12 noon instead of the usual 1:00, for a covered dish luncheon. *****Please bring your own place setting as the club will not be providing.************If you have friends who have expressed an interest in the garden club, please invite them to join us as well. What a great opportunity to meet new friends, increase our membership plus have more good food!

Text Box:  Marie Pasley will be installed as the 2007-2009 District  Director. Let’s have a good representation  at the luncheon from our club to cheer her on! This is a significant office, and Marie will have a busy two years ahead of her!

Dues for 2008 are $15.00 and are now payable to the treasurer. Please fill out the envelope included with this newsletter, add your check made payable to the Columbia Garden Club, put it in another envelope, address and mail it to:      Alice Harvard, 6451 N. Creasy Springs Rd.,  Columbia, Mo 65202
You may wish to bring the dues envelope to the September meeting. Please place in the basket on the entry table . We send $5.00 for each member to the Federated Garden Clubs of Missouri and 50 cents to Central District to finance district activities. Absolute dues deadline is October 15. This allows the paperwork to be completed and sent to the state by the November 1 deadline.
