Judy Lynn McLeskey Mallard, 77, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away September 26, 2024, surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 29, 1946, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Louis Clifford and Charlotte (Davis) McLeskey.
Judy was united in marriage to Elbert Wayne Mallard on October 5, 1963.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Sonny, Craig, and Terry McLeskey.
For more than 40 years, she worked as an RN in Clay County Home Health and Piggott Community Hospital. Our "Jude" loved nothing more than helping people. She made everyone feel supported with her calm acceptance and she kept us laughing with her quick wit. Her family was her biggest joy and she got a great visit with all her children and grandchildren in her last few months.
Judy is survived by her children: Kim Mallard Moore of St. Francis Arkansas, Greg and Tracey Mallard of Charlottesville, Virginia, David Mallard of Silverdale, Washington, Brad and Susie Mallard of Ulm, Germany, and Debbie Mallard of Piggott, Arkansas; grandchildren: Eric (Brandy) Moore of Corning, Arkansas, Caleb (Ambra) Moore of Piggott, Arkansas, Jessica Mallard (Jarek) of Boston, Massachusetts, Nate (Arykah) Mallard of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Ella Mallard, Luca Mallard, and Leo Mallard all of Ulm, Germany; great-grandchildren: Kadence, Hunter, Kiley, and Randy Moore, Jazzlyn and Aubrie Davis and Atlas Moore; sisters, Mary and Joe Crossfield of Brandon, Florida and Susan Helms of Pollard, Arkansas; beloved brother-in-law, Billy and Lela Mallard of Paragould, Arkansas; sister-in-law, JoAnn McLeskey; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation is Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas. A private family burial will be held at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas.

Glenda Joann Purl, 74, of Senath, Missouri, passed away June 15, 2020, at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was born on January 26, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Marion Ambers and Earlene Watson Vernon.
Survivors include her son, Timothy James Purl and wife Pam of Senath, Missouri, daughter, Patsy Finley and boyfriend Alan Wyss of Nimmons, Arkansas; grandchildren, Shelly Machon, Christie Burdin and boyfriend, Chris Eubanks, Annie Hicks, J.W. Fox and fiancée Alexis Quinn, great-grandchildren, Colton, J.J., Shannon, Tristan, Jaiden, Conner, and Cierra; brother, Marion Amber Vernon and wife Sue of Sikeston, Missouri; sister, Evelyn Joyce Vernon of Nimmons, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 18, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Alan Austin officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be J.W. Fox, Josh Nettles, Chris Eubanks, Jake McKuin, Johnny Finley, and Terry Wayne Finley. Terry Finley will serve as honorary pallbearer. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
NOTE: The State of Arkansas, requires all attendees to wear face masks inside the funeral home and to keep six foot distance between family groups. We ask all attendees to plan accordingly and we ask if you are sick or immune-compromised not attend.
