Dear Classmates,

The following activities are planned for the weekend.   Classmates are the most important part of the reunion,
so we hope you saved the dates in August and are planning to be in Columbia for the celebration.

Friday, August 13, 2010   Courtyard Marriott Conference Center

6:30 pm   Happy Hour (cash bar with soda, mixed drinks and wine) Your Columbia Hosts will provide free beer.
7:30ish   BBQ Buffet (shredded BBQ beef and Carolina-style pulled pork with all the trimmings of a cookout)

Saturday, August 14, 2010    Bengal’s   (Dutch treat)

Early risers, have a light breakfast at your hotel. Then, drive to Stephen’s Lake (Old 63 and Broadway) for a
leisurely walk, run, or visit at the lakeside. 
At 11:00 am   (or noon if you prefer)   Meet for lunch at Bengal’s located at the edge of campus and
downtown 227 S. Sixth.  They have a fun covered patio and a reasonable menu.  Parking is available on the
street, their small lot or the Cherry Street Parking Garage.  Friends from the classes of 53, 54, 56, and 57 have
been invited to join us on the patio at Bengal’s from 2-4 pm.
Name tags will be available, but you might want to study your Cressets!

Saturday, August 14, 2010 Marriott Courtyard Conference Center

6:30 pm   Happy Hour   (cash bar same as Friday night)
7:30ish   Dinner Buffet (carved tenderloin and grilled salmon topped with a salsa of char-grilled pineapple,
red onion, and fresh cilantro plus salads, vegetables, baked potato, hot rolls and dessert)
Soft music will be provided by “Crazy Charley” Blackmore.  If you haven’t visited his website, do so now
at www.kewpie.net. Of course, there will be the microphone with greetings and announcements, a few
words from Charley about his work with the Kewpie websites and a Memorial Slideshow.

Sunday, August 15, 2010   Brunch at Boone Tavern   (Dutch treat)

10:00 am   In 2005, those of us who went for brunch had a wonderful time before saying good-by, so we
thought we’d do it again! We are very excited to hold the 2010 reunion at the beautiful Conference Center
of the Courtyard Marriott located at the corner of Highway 63 and Nifong Blvd. (or New Haven Rd.).
The address is 3301 LeMone Blvd.  The hotel has all the amenities to make your trip to Columbia “a very
special time”. We hope some of you will take advantage of the special room rate available until July 17, 2010
of $89 per night.  You can find more information about the Courtyard Marriott and other fine hotels in Columbia
at www.VisitColumbiaMO.com. 
Dress for the entire weekend will be casual. Bring your camera!
