Hello all,
Well what a life it has been since high school.  Graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor Of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice. Met my husband in 1998 and we were married in 2000.  Had a wonderful 1 week honeymoon in Colorado.  Now we live in Olathe Kansas.  My husband owns his own Cabinet shop called Cabinetman Custom Cabinets and I started working for him October of 04!  Well in what little free time we have we love to go camping ,cooking, traveling, going to the Kansas Speedway to catch Nascar and I love to plant!  Hope all are doing well and hope to see many people at our 20 year reunion.  Can't believe it is only 5 years away!
Jill Beaumonte March 21, 2006

Hello Fellow Kewpies,
My how time flies.  I can't believe it has been 16 years since Graduation!
A lot has happened in my life.  I have moved around quite a bit, but have settled in Wisconsin.  In 2002, My boyfriend of 5 years (at the time) and I got married.  Unfortunately after 2 and a half years of Infertility, we still do not have a child, but remain hopeful that we will be blessed with a wonderful baby to adopt.  I have been at the same job for the last 9 years, doing Payroll for a collection company which has about 5300 active employees around the world.
My parents who divorced when I was at Hickman have both remarried and are living in Columbia, as well as my sister with her husband and my grandmother who is the House Mother at Alpha Gamma Sigma Fraternity House.
My Husband and I come down to Columbia for a visit as often as we can, and I still keep in touch with some of my fellow alumni.
I would love to hear from anyone I went to school with as being 500 miles away from "Home", it is hard to locate a lot of people.
Take Care and write soon!

I moved to Florida to attend Johnson and Wales U. for Culinary Arts.  I gradutated this past May and am now working as a chef for the Tides Hotel on South Beach.  It's a great place and Ocean Drive is an awesome place.  So far I've had the oppurtunity to train under some great chefs from around the world and I really enjoy all the different cultures and the food that comes with Miami.  It's a great place to be, except for Hurricane season.
Jaynae Marie Miller December 17, 2002

Jaynae Miller was born in Columbia on September 4, 1972.  She was adopted by Dr. and Mrs. Herman T. Miller several months later.  Miller was raised on a farm in Ashland, Missouri for seventeen years.  During this time, she learned to read and write by age three and became interested in French, Music, English Literature and Egyptology by the age of eight.  At Grant Elementary School, she began writing a play for her fellow students to perform.  She performed her first acting role as "The Littlest Christmas Tree".  Leaving public education in fourth grade to pursue the private sector, she attended Audrey Webb Child Study Center on the Stephens College campus.  Her writing and acting abilities were put to the test when she wrote the script to the play "The Silent Queen" and co-wrote three songs for the light opera.  At age 12, she entered a summer gifted program at Lincoln University, where her father was a professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry.  While attending Oakland Junior High School in 1985, she discovered writing and acting on a different level.  She began to write stories for high school students' creative writing papers while waiting for her mother, Mary Margaret Miller of the Human Development Corporation, to get off work.  She co-wrote and produced her seventh grade production of "Lost in Television Land". Upon entering Hickman High School (the alma mater of all of her siblings--Jewell Kelly (89), Vincent Williams (88), Dedre Kelly (87), David Noble, Jr. and Donna Noble Cavitte (69) (Executive Director of the Human Rights Commission for the State of Missouri), she continued her choral music from Oakland with Martin Hook, one of her favorite teachers.  She was a member of the track team for two years, one the P & G staff her senior year as well as being the newsletter editor for the D.O.T.S. Committee.  She performed in one musical, "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" before deciding to major in Archaeology instead of Theatre at the University of Missouri--Columbia.  Upon graduation, Miller began working with Dr. Michael Glascock and Dr. Steve Morris at the University of Missouri Research Reactor Facility in the Archaeometry department.  Studying ancient Peruvian bones discovered by Dr. Richard Burger (featured in National Geographic), she learned a lot about the work involved in real life Archaeology/Anthropology.  With her love of literature still ripe and her love of Egyptology, she changed schools and changed her major to English.  She graduated from Columbia College in 1995.  Unfortunately, Missouri was too small for Miller and she had an overwhelming desire to move to Hollywood.  In 1998, she moved to Los Angeles with another Hickman Alumnus Nathan Byrd (90).  Within two weeks she was on the MTV set of "Lethal Jams 4" where she met actors Mel Gibson, Jet Li, Danny Glover, Joe Peschi and Renee Russo.  Shortly thereafter, she worked for her personal manager as an assistant manager, coming in contact with casting directors, producers, actors, directors and other Hollywood types including agent Bob Preston, agent to the late Heather O'Rourke of "Poltergeist" fame.  As an extra on motion picture and television sets, she became a favorite at CBS in Studio City.  She has been on sets with Jackie Chan, Kid Rock, Robert Downey, Jr., Lucy Liu, Al Pacino, and others.  She studied acting with author M.K. Lewis (Your Screen Acting Career) and Golden Globe nominated actor John Sarno.  She has had the opportunity to speak with such actors as Jamie Gertz, Richard Mull and Jackie Chan.  In 2000, she broke into voiceovers with her role as the voice of Playmates Toys "Lil' Amazing Ashley Doll", the hottest selling doll that year.  After the tragedy of September 11, 2001, Miller decided to move back to her home to be closer to her family--not before meeting and falling in love with Alexandre De Oliveira Santos of Paris, France.  He returned to France to complete his studies at the famous Sorbonne and Jaynae returned home.  As of this writing, Miller is planning to return to Los Angeles to fulfill her dream of producing a major motion picture--now in development.
