The 1968 Kewpies went to the Missouri State High School Basketball Championship and lost by one point
in the Championship game to O'Fallon Tech. on a final shot by O'Fallon in the last two seconds of the game.
Below is the program from that tournament and the stats of O'Fallon Tech., the State Champs of 1968
from the semifinal against De La Salle and the final against the Hickman Kewpies.

AA comment from Wm. Kelly Dude on March 14, 2013 as the 2013 Kewpies go to the semifinal game tomorrow night against Rockhurst at 5:00pm at Mizzou Arena.... Go Kewpies!!!!!!!! Another chance after 46 years!

Charley – Yeah, but-for a lucky shot from the corner at the buzzer, Hickman would have won the state championship in 1968.  O’fallon Tech won by one point after Tim Vanatta had made two free throws to put the Kewpies up by one with only about six or seven seconds left.  O’fallon brought the ball down quickly and got it to a guy in the left corner who hit the winning shot. A real heartbreaker.
